Let them eat cake

Mags and I made a delicious no bake cake yesterday for times when you need to bring a dessert and you don't want to heat up the kitchen this is quick and easy.  It does want you to let it sit in the fridge for four hours before serving.  Buy chocolate wafers available in the grocery store.  I found them in a horizontal box for $4.50.  Buy a pint of whipping cream, and whip it up with a half cup of sugar and two tea spoons of vanilla. Frost the cookies with the cream and stack them up and then laying the stack down do this for four stacks of nine or ten cookies, then frost the whole log and pepper with mini chips.  OK not so healthy but don't eat the whole cake just a piece and you'll be fine. (You'll have extra whip creme for your coffee later)

  On other less domestic fronts Aetna denied our son a surgery for corrective purposes.  I don't know how they sleep at night.  Anyway the damage is significantly less than thought.  On the topic of bad news our newspaper has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.  Yes one step closer to losing my job.  We will survive.  We may not be eating cake but we will survive.
